About Newhaven
Newhaven is where Abacoa began. The village association describes it as the first of Abacoa’s communities, with DiVosta completing the first homes in 1998. The Abacoa association counts 505 homes: 405 single-family residences and 100 townhomes, spread across about 114 acres in two sections. Building ran roughly 1998 to 2001.
Single-family homes run from about 1,300 to 3,500 square feet, three to five bedrooms, each with a private patio, and include one-story courtyard plans alongside two-story homes. The townhomes are three bedrooms with two-car garages. Exteriors vary even where interior plans are similar.

Because it’s one of the oldest parts of Abacoa, the landscaping has had time to grow in: the HOA describes narrow streets lined with magnolia, live oak, holly and maple.
