“Dakota” in Abacoa is a street name more than a village. Dakota Drive is a long road that runs through several Abacoa neighborhoods. Homes on it are filed in different subdivisions, so searching for “Dakota” alone misses most of them or returns the wrong community. The MLS’s only “Dakota” community is in Delray Beach, a different place entirely.
In the roughly 500–700 block, the Dakota Drive townhomes are part of Canterbury Place, with two-story, three-bedroom townhomes that listings credit to Centex Homes, built around 2006–2007. Other Dakota Drive addresses belong to Somerset at Abacoa, Mallory Creek and Martinique. A separate rental community called Dakota at Abacoa also exists; it is not a for-sale village.
