On the rise

Boynton has spent the last few years reinventing itself. The Boynton Harbor Marina got a full makeover, a new Town Square downtown brought a library, amphitheater, and events, and waterfront development keeps adding energy. It's not as polished as its neighbors yet — that's exactly why it's more affordable.

A diver's and boater's town

Here's Boynton's not-so-secret edge: it sits right by the Gulf Stream reefs, making it one of the best scuba diving and fishing launch points in the region. The marina buzzes with dive and charter boats.

Two Boyntons

East Boynton has the marina, the older neighborhoods, and Intracoastal/canal homes. West Boynton is a booming world of gated and 55+ communities (the big Valencia developments, golf clubs, active-adult living) that draw retirees and families with attainable prices and resort amenities.

The trade-offs

Boynton is still building toward its full potential — neighborhoods vary in character, and while the walkable downtown energy of Delray is still ahead, buyers arriving now are often rewarded as the marina district and Town Square continue to develop. The beach is across the bridge in Ocean Ridge. Florida's warm climate and insurance landscape are standard considerations throughout the region. But for value, diving, and strong active-adult communities, Boynton punches well above its price.
